Interest Rates Are Inching Upwards!
Calling all buyers: buy now for the best rate and the best deal! While rates are still at a historic low, they have inched up from below 5% a month ago to 5.625% today for a 30 year fixed rate conventional mortgage. Obviously increased interest rates mean increased monthly mortgage payments but luckily prices are still low and sellers are ready to deal!
One tool to keep the monthly payment low is the “Rate Relief Program” offered by Wisconsin Mortgage Corporation. This program allows sellers to permanently buy down the interest rate, thereby lowering your monthly payment and/or allowing you more purchasing power as a buyer.
