Have you ever wondered why so many people want to live in Whitefish Bay, WI?

The answer is easy. Whitefish Bay is a very active family oriented community with events for every age.

The month of April has “Green Day in the Bay” and last year over 500 volunteers helped clean the village.

Various dates in June through August there is a community ice cream social located at the School House Park where friends and neighbors meet up with one another.

July is the 4th of July celebration. It starts with a parade going through Silver Spring leading to Klode Park where the festivities continue with live entertainment, food, games and prizes ending with the fireworks.

August has a summer music festival on Silver Spring.

Fish boils in the fall.

In October, at School House Park, pumpkins are carved and displayed for residents and incoming viewers. There is a day with music and food and spooky stories at the library.

Whitefish Bay even has the Bay Players that holds productions over the year.

Whitefish Bay even has a recreation department. They have various classes for children and adults such as swimming lessons, tennis, exercise and much more.

Not to mention Whitefish Bay is known for their “top notch” schools.

It also has many shops.

The homes range in price but there is a home for everyone from a multi-million dollar mansion on the lake to a modest two bedroom cream puff.

There is so much to offer, I can introduce you to the area.

Whitefish Bay- A Small Town with Alot to Offer

Following the lakeshore north of the Village of Shorewood you will enter the Village of Whitefish Bay. Another walking community with tree lined streets and streetlights. Homes are manicuried and well maintained. Whitefish Bay is well-known as being a family oriented community. The quaint downtown is on “Silver Spring “ there are restaurants, clothing and novelty stores plus the ever so popular 5 and dime “Winkies” a store that holds history in the area. Numerous activities are held in this area. In the quaint downtown is where there are fish boils, annual parades are held on the fourth of July that leads the residents and visitors to “Klode Park” for a fun day of music, food, relaxation and fireworks displayed by the lakeshore. There also is “Big Bay” Park at the lakeshore. “Cahill Square” is located near the library where one can play tennis, baseball, and ice skate. Parents also bring their children to the numerous parks to play on the play sets. At Halloween time there are carved pumpkins near the library are viewed by families..

Schools are rated top notch in Whitefish Bay and many of the residents are lifelong residents. Whitefish Bay school’s and families prepare children for higher education. There are many volunteer organizations you can be involved in. Residents know one another and take pride in their community and their village.

Whitefish Bay is located 10 -15 minutes from downtown Milwaukee and minutes from I-43
